When and why? What do you pray for?
Even if you're an atheist, can you still pray?

It has been said that prayer can move mountains.
What I have heard is that some amazing things have happened after people have prayed and there's no earthly explanation as to how a such miracle has come about. I do not doubt that there's something in all of this. When I hear folks say that they believe that there's a higher, a much higher power above us, I consider them to be on
tosomething.
Cut out the' to ' - And - perhaps - YES.

Billions of people around the world pray to their god or deity. The law of averages would suggest that many prayers would come true. If each person believed their god answered their prayer, then it would mean there are many gods from many religions. At best, this would make the Christian God only one of a number of gods. But maybe there is another explanation why some prayers appear to come true, and why "miracles" appear to happen?

I "prayed" that Parramatta would beat Melbourne and it happened.. Does that mean that all those who "prayed" for a Melbourne win were praying to a false or lesser God

If you believe your prayer had anything to do with the win, then maybe yes. Or if they prayed to your god too, then maybe he is a Parramatta fan. But there are probably a thousand other explanations why Parramatta won. And the most obvious explanation is that your prayer had nothing to do with it.

You mean all the others were praying to a false, lesser or non existent god. OR that parramatta were just a better team on the night

I've decided that the god you prayed to is a Parramatta fan, and you and he/she thought they needed your combined help to win.

So what your saying there must literally billions of gods for each fan to pray fior his/he team ?
