Pimpy
For the last 2 years I have bought lollies and not one child has come knocking. I end up eating it all myself!

I don't think that we celebrate Halloween, more like take an opportunity to participate in something fun for a while. It doesn't matter what its called. Its just something fun, something stupid, a recognised organised event from which to draw some pleasure for a short time.
Maybe there are some hard core people out there who do "celebrate" Halloween and really take it seriously, but the little kids who come knocking for candy? They just want some fun (and candy) and get a real buzz out of all the spooky house decorations and things.

Pimpy............in our suburb you tie ballons to your gate if you are a house that kids can knock on your door for treats.
Our grandchildren have a Halloween disco at school.............but do not bother with the door knocking.
I have noticed there are way way way more Halloween stuff in stores this year than in the past.

dont do halloween. The very odd occasion we have had kids come we just say we dont do it. If there is chocolate or lollies in this house they are mine!!
I think knocking on doors asking for lollies is dumb.

I don't celebrate it, I used to do the thing, balloons, decos and lollies but not this year. My outside light will be off.
However, I am making a Toothless costume for a grandchild atm......................

Coles had scrunched up cling wrap over the prices screen at the checkout, I said I can't see the prices, and was told it was supposed to be cobwebs for halloween. Ridiculous.
