That has never been proven. There is no KNOWN cause of dementia.

I am happy to say that minties contain no Aspartame (Sugarine) 🙂

That is good news poddy...

Luckily anything with any kind of artificial sweetener in it tastes horrible to me, so I never drink/eat it...

It was really hard for me to bute my tongue whilst watching my then breastfeeding friend drink Coke Zero in the false hope that it was somehow better than drinking regular coke...

I am wary of anything that has artificial sweetener in it....

I concur AM3, with the observation that the OP has little grasp of the sciences, or would  have known that:

"Dementia is an umbrella term for a group of cognitive disorders typically characterized by memory impairment"

Alzheimer's disease is the most common  of the dementia group.

There are many known causes of dementia... 

there are many ways to combat many types of dementia.. 

Today I just watched ABC24, I think it was The Health Quarter, when they were talking about removing many people from high care nursing homes because they have  a common form of dementia that is easily addressed.

Dementia is usually caused by degeneration in the cerebral cortex, the part of the brain responsible for thoughts, memories, actions and personality. Death of brain cells in this region leads to the cognitive impairment which characterizes dementia.

Can Aspartame cause this?.......

I take the time to read most of the ingredients of the  processed foods that I eat. I am really surprised to see it added to a lot of food stuff...
