I am considering buying either a studio unit or a one-bedroom unit in the “Varsity Towers” building at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is exclusively student accommodation, catering mainly for those studying at Bond University, which is close by.
Has anyone heard of this building or have any information about how successful it is as an investment?

it appears that banks aren't prepared to lend on this type of property, which I guess is a bit of a negative
so even if one could buy it for cash outright, if eventually one sold it, it would have to be to a buyer who could also pay cash or who had a substantial deposit
