US charity has released a video telling the heartbreaking story of a dog who was abandoned and left to die on a rubbish dump.
Workers for the LA-based Hope for Paws found Miley malnourished, infected and close to death on a junk heap on the city's outskirts.
The shelter's Eldad Hagar took Miley to veterinary intensive care, where her condition slowly improved. While she has still not fully recovered, the worst is over, and Miley looks set to lead the life she deserves.
Miley's story has been seen by 1.5 million people. Click through for more inspiring rescued dogs, including Mama Jade the rescued pitbull, a dog that learned to trust through parkour, and another that goes through the most astonishing transformation.

I felt the same way IF, there are some people in life who are examples of why contraception should be universal, free, and perhaps even compulsory.

Agree with you too Monmon.
There are so many stories of cruelty going on like that. In the city recently, an intruder to a home was disturbed by a little three legged dog (who had had an accident a long time ago and lost a leg), and the criminal hacked off another leg. It was a Maltese terrier and had to be put down.
The lady who owned the dog is now too scared to come out of her house (I would be too). I believe that the kind of person who would do that to an animal has a serial killer mentality and is more than just dangerous.

I'm not clinking either. You don't have to go to the US to see cases of cruelty, neglect and unwanted doggies being rescued.Rural Rescues save sick and dying animals from all over the place. There are shelters in Sydney that go around the western NSW pounds every few weeks and rescue the animals.

I think I've seen every Hope For Paws story and I cry at each and every one.

Yes, it is heartbreaking to see how mistreated some animals are. Thank goodness for tose with a caring heart.
The dog looks great now and will look even better in another few weeks. I love the little friend she got and hope someone will take both of them so they can stay togther.
