Dog Mindind question

I already day care one little dog in my own home and would like to take in another -   does anyone know if this sort of service is allowed on ebay and where would I list it?    I've had a look but can't find anything   I know pet trade is not permitted but just wondered about a service like this?

The first rule of advertising is to place it where your target market will see it.

I can't imagine anyone in your local area would search for doggie sitters on eBay.

However, what about on shopping centre community boards, in the local paper, or at vets... Or even at a dog park, if you have one?

I've never seen anything. I would put a little poster at the local vets.Woman Happy

I think there would be a lot of working folks who would appreciate this service with a responsible person.

Dogs need company, especially of other dogs.

It concerns me that dogs are left alone all day.  Bordering on neglect.

Because ebay covers an enormous area, instead  I would put an ad in your local paper, or on a community notice board in your area.

Good luck with it, Bright.  It is a casual service needed for dogs.

What about any local caravan parks. Lots travel with dogs. Some places they can not take them. Most parks do not allow dogs to be left alone.

OK I will get my thinking cap on and see what I can come up with.   There are all sorts of dog minding kennels and 'hotel's' around here but terrbily expensive and my rate is fair,  , and the present doggy I daycare belongs to a lady who works long hours and loves her little dog very much so it works very well for all of us, particularly the dog who is spoilt rotten like mine.

My vet lives a fair way away so it would probaly be better to target someone closer to my area.

Unfortunately my local dog park doesn't have a notice board but I suppose I could put a small notice on a tree on a Sunday when all the dogs come out to play, I don't know if it's legal, but probaly worth a try.  .

When we had the caravan, we used to take our 2 small dogs with us.  Staying at Cairns once, we wanted to go on a day trip where dogs couldn't go.  There was a lady at the park who "dog sat" for such cases and she had a very good business going.  She had beds and water dishes for them all and with the help of others, would take them all for a walk in the afternoon.

Are you on facebook? A lot of areas now have a Lost and Found Pet page, or a Community page. You could try advertising on their if there is one.
