In victoria you are allowed two dogs without a permit..any thing over will require a permit which depending on your number you wish to keep and for what purpose ( ie reg breeder with Affiliation for breeding and showing purposes ect)..will require approval and possible town planning applications..All dogs must be registered with council and if you are a registered breeder you must also provide details of membership ( Vic dogs ect ..breeders prefix ect)..laws are exactley the same for keeping of cats

Google your council and read their website.

Must depend on the individual council, with our council it's 2 dogs without a permit it you have under 1/2 acre, over that no permission needed for up to 6 dogs.

If (as your name suggests) you have a 123 of them, you may be in a little bit of a pickle LOL

We have three dogs registered. (Victoria) It was necessary to fill in the application for council approval. Also we had to get the written consent of every adjoining neighbour to say they didn't object. The third dog no longer lives here as my son took him when we moved into a place of his own. I dogsit him 5 days a week while son and partner are at work because they have a town house with very little outside space.
