I think I'm afraid to travel lol.
Was booked to go to White Island (before the tragedy) of course. You never know.

I was told to get out of town last Saturday. And Sunday. So was my sister who lives in the town and my BIL who was trying to get to Sydney from Bairnsdale, delivering fresh food.
I left on Sunday arvo, turned left at Cann River about 2pm and got home safely. Not even a lot of traffic from the coast once I hit Nimmitabel and headed for Cooma.
So my travel wasn't dangerous; didn't even encounter many less-than-competent drivers, which Victorian highways are usually full of.

Australia is a high risk destination.
Some internet friends in the UK think so! They really focus on the snakes and spiders.
I've hardly been anywhere in Oz, and I've never been overseas. But that's OK.....my British friends think I am incredibly brave living as I am in Oz surbubia. LOL

Yes, we have some the most deadliest spiders and snakes etc in the world here.
That is enough to spark fear in tourists, but now the fires.
