we both never had the heart to get rid of our records even though we have nothing to play them on.

a couple of years ago I bought OH a new record player, and it sounds terrible 

which reminds me, I must put that out in the next rubbish collection

If you buy an old record player, can you still get needles for them??

Project turntables are good.The baseline model is about $350-400 and gives you very good sound.
Styli are readily available at most Hi Fi shops.Just take your old one in to get a match.

Trout mask replica is a classic . its the only one i'd have. i did buy 'a date with noel mckay' because it was cheap rare and rather hilarious (not to mention only $1 )
