Google is your friend 🙂
Look for free audio editing software there are heaps of them

I can tell you the why... When you rip songs from CDs you can choose to rip them at 320 kbps which is CD quality audio (I think iTunes rips them at this rate by default). When you rip songs off You Tube (depending on what you use to rip the songs) you can usually only rip them at 128 kbps which is way lower than CD quality... I try and go for a minimum of 256 kbps
So basically, the higher the bitrate = the better sound quality
As for the how, Audacity is free and is a pretty good editing program

Thanks for the info..
When converting youtube songs sometimes the volume is ok and sometimes its softer.
Think I will just buy from iTunes, the editing program sounds a bit too involved..
Took me 1 1/2 hours to take a full album of you tube compared to 5 mins on iTunes
That's worth 14.99 to me 🙂
