Are red heads (about 2% of the world population) and left-handeders (about 12%) also abnormal. And should our children be shielded from them till they are old enough to understand?

Anyway, that's not the point. Ppl who have tendencies towards homosexuality will go that way. As I said in a previous post, while it's not the social norm, homosexualtity has always been accepted in society. Although underplayed.
We don't need to teach sexuality in schools or educational facilites.
Let's teach children how to read first.

With regard to left handers, I don't know what your idea of 'long since' is, but my husband was regularly whacked over the knuckles in class for writing with his left hand.

I know it was illegal. But trust me, it was still accepted. It may not have been publically acknowledged, but it was silently accepted.

While I agree with this statement, I don't think the reading session was about teaching sexuality. Children are not being taught how to be a drag queen simply by listening to them read.
There are other things I thought about posting, but thought better of it as they are just tangents to this thread topic (maybe others could take this approach when posting here).

I've not ever thought of drag queens as homosexuals. Some might be, just as some politicians might be. Doesn't mean they all are!

I don't think drag queens want to be women, they just like dressing up in women's clothes. In fact if we must put a label on them, I suspect the best one is transvestite.
