The end is coming for Labor & they are looking at an unthinkable landslide loss rivalling the NSW & QLD rout

As I look back on the last six years of the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd era I I wonder just what drove Kevin Rudd to do the damage he inflicted on his own party. The destruction of Julia Gillard's prime ministership & her ultimate humiliating departure from political life all at the hands of Kevin Rudd.

There have been missteps & policy failures but the greatest policy failure in the history of this county & government has been Rudd's border protection failure & Gillards missteps in not rectifying it before they totally lost control of it.

All that aside & it's no small thing, but my personal opinion of the greatest failure was  the attack on freedom of the press & Roxon's  threat to our freedom of speech & the reversal of the onus of proof ie. removing the innocent until proved guilty right. Dreyfuss said he would bring all that back if they won the election, an unthinkable attack on our democracy.

There are many more  people  who have defended, fought & won the fight to protect our freedoms & I, for one, am grateful.

I thought I'd put this up today as a piece for comment & reflection.

Good thought piece windy.

Its going to be a very hard day for Labor & its supporters on Saturday. What hope do they see for the. party if they have to face the magnitude of the defeat they are reputed to be facing.

The party will have to rid themselves of this person Rudd, he   has done enormous damage and  has to go.
