The incedent happened between Feb and March... that is not recent.. that is a while ago when you think of how fast this information can travel...
When did Ebay find out about his??? Only a few days ago?? If so there is some major problems in it's security
The only thing I see for information is a small orange button at the top of the page... I bookmark the log in page so if there is warning on another page I would not see it.
What about those that have an Ebay account but don't use it very often?? When do they get told to change their password?

Catmad--im not real good with computer use-know little about hackers.
Could hackers -who dont know longtime passwords-be hovering atm-when many folk have
and are changing them over the past few days.
Start a panic-then sit back and swoop?.
Just a thought..................Richo.

Catmad/Richo,
Ebay only found out about it a couple of weeks ago, they looked further into it and discovered what was going on, so for security, they want everyone to change their ebay password.
It doesnt involve paypal etc, only the login password for ebay.........forums, selling and buying.
If you go to the selling board, I think a few there have had alot of problem with hackers.

I have changed mine, I chose an email but could have chosen text or voicemail.

Ebay is asking its users to reset their passwords due to the unauthorized access to our corporate information network. This may result in a delay of service due to the high traffic volume. We ask for your patience and that you return to eBay soon. In the meantime, please be assured that no activity can occur on your account until your password is reset.

FINALLY....successfully changed mine just then!
I opted to receive a voicemail. It was almost instant. Thanks ebay:)
Had me worried for a couple of days as I could not get ebay to respond in any shape, way or form

As long as we have all managed to change the pass/word, then that is good.
