You're right that 2020 is turning out to the year that none of us wanted..

Maybe they got the timing wrong on the ending of the Mayan calender, with all that chaos that it was supposed to unleash, wrong by a few years... 😉

To add to the misery, an outbreak of avian flu, thankfully, H5N2, the "lesser" variety, in Victoria, was reported only a week and a half ago.

I really don't want to guess what might be next...

Talk about weather extremes.

It's so cold here in Sydney.

They're calling it an "Antarctic Blast"

The traffic reporter this morning said the traffic was heavy heading into the Blue Mountains, with sightseers heading up to see the snow, and road conditions being icy.

We had some very light snow here today.

Feels like the Antartic for sure.

I read sight-seeers were causing some problems trying to visit the mountains around here, Some didn't  have chains and just slid on the roads. Very risky.

Perth has recorded the highest August rainfall since 1965, and more rain forefast tonight. We're only about 5 ml short of August 1965 so could easily pass that by the end of the month. I thought it seemed wetter than normal

Temperatures have been quite pleasant though
