I don't know how people can be so cruel. Found this story I want to share. Raju the Elephant was crying when he realised he was getting released and the chains removed. They have feelings like human beings.

Thanks for that link. It looks like the case is still pending awaiting a decision. I hope they don't send him back to be abused again, the court surely will see how badly treated he was.

Me too, but if Raju has been in captivity all their life, I Don't know if they would fare well if released into the wild wit would otherwise be ideal condisions and it's about time Raju got a taste of freedom.

I cried when I watched that video 😞
This kinda of of abuse goes on right under our noses here in Australia. In many puppy farms, the dogs are kept in appalling conditions, yet despite constant pleas from organisations like Oscar's Law, the state governments seem loathe to do any thing about it.

Appalling cruelty but India "honour kill" women too so I don't hold out much hope for the poor elephant.

I'm so happy she was rescued and is now free to savor the rest of her life in peace and without pain.
