The Royal Melbourne Hospital Epilepsy Unit is recruiting people with Uncontrolled Epilepsy for a clinical research study to test the effectiveness, tolerability and safety of a new treatment - Triheptanoin oil,
at controlling seizures .
Potential participants:
*should be aged between 18-75 years
*Should be experiencing at least 1 seizure a week
*Need to be English Speaking
Unlike other current treatments,this is a dietary supplement taken with meals.Participation in the study will last approx 6 months, but if the treatment is proven to be effective and well tolerated , it may be continued in an extension study.
