Part of that surrogacy is the 2 efficient HFC networks LL, which the NBN have fought hard to shut down, also Telstra copper communications, if the NBN is so superior why?
Thankfully the NBN efforts to suppress mobile Internet were not successful.
Anything would be good if there were no competition, especially if legislation is enacted to protect it.
I know FTTH is the ultimate in communication technology, but ours is expensive, slow to roll-out, and government controlled with no competition (until Sept.).
I repeat:
A State owned monopoly communication system protected from competition by law, that rings a bell!
