We should be so lucky to have her as out FM, she has a first class legal mind & is always on her game no matter who she is being questioned by.
You've obviously never seen her (ineptude) in action then.
She looks polished but she is another liberal loose cannon.

her WA colleagues don't seem the best of financial managers either.. isn't this the boom state ? someone's messing up, considering they raised mining royalties a while back, to hobble mining tax revenues mostly. this seems to back up what the treasurer and his predeccessor said about revenue anyway
.
The WA Government concedes the state has a 'problem with debt', in handing down its first budget since the state election in March.
The Barnett Government expects to post a surplus of $386 million over the 2013/14 financial year, with debt predicted to rise to $22 billion. By the 2016/17 financial year, debt is expected to blow-out to $28.4 billion.
Treasurer Troy Buswell was frank on the issue of debt: "make no mistake, we have a problem with debt".
This financial year the state's economy is forecast to grow by 3.25 per cent - higher than the national growth forecast of 2.5 per cent.
The estimated surplus for last financial year is $239 million but the budget is expected to fall into deficit in the 2014/15 financial year.

"OMG I'll be cringing if she ever has to go to an international meeting and negotiate with brainy people!"
She will have a pretty low hurdle to clear after the past performances of Poor Me Gillard, as judged by the electorate and Caucus
However, I wonder if some thread comments are a continuance of "shoot the messenger", with LL as the marksman (marksperson?), or just some Myopic caterwauling from one of the flocks milling about in confusion.

about the only weapon i have at hand is a vintage 'duck shoot' plastic pistol used in a vintage atari game. and some pocket knives.
if i make a remark about a journalist or two its out of long standing habit, as at one stage i shared accomodation with a commercial network newscrew (i sub-let) i could put forward some interesting stories, but thats gossip. porridge. cant have that now ..

LL: "......but thats gossip. porridge. cant have that now......"
Why not LL ?, it would have to be more interesting than the Acolytes meowing in harmony, and gossip is often more than just de rigueur within CS, or with NW, C & P.

okay. as i pulled up outside, i noticed the news presenter, the sound guy and the cameraman and driver were riding vespas in the front door , down the passage (old villa, good clearance) and out the back door. after leaving the car and dodging the scooters i went inside...the table in the kitchen had bleep and bzzzt etc strewn over it... the station managers son came in and apologised and attempted to give me some 'extra cash' . i encouraged them to move on.

Acolytes?
Is that your new buzzword Monman? Not using Myopic anymore? Well that's good cause you have done that one to death.
But perhaps it's a tad ridiculous to call Labor supporters myopic or describe them as acolytes given what the Liberal "sheep" (another one you are fond of aye?) post on these boards.
Glass houses and all that.
