Flu shots

Has everybody had theirs?  I made an appointment for my shot for Monday 30th, which supposed to be the 1st day they had the vaccine, but when I got there they were out.  I have been calling now daily, and they keep telling me they did not get any.  Today I was told to call next week!  The government says we should all get it; yet they did not order enough for everybody?

i havent had mine, i read about the sudden rush and i'll wait until most of the ones who prolly need it most have had it.

they say a week or so and there will be plenty of stock.

as i'm basically in 'lockdown' my chances of getting the flu must be lower than normal.

even if i got the flu, i would be very unlucky to die from it being fit and healthy.

I had mine last Saturday. My GP gave it to us in the car park. He was fully gowned, masked etc. A couple of people saw it happen and looked horrified. I think they thought we were infected. The way they looked at us was a little unnerving.

Why is every year is a ground hog day event regarding flu shots with shortages ?

I rang last week and was told they had none and to ring every week & maybe they would get more.

A friend was booked in but then had her appointment cancelled as they said they had run out. They obviously didn't put any aside for those who had pre booked.

How we are meant to have the flu shot when there are none around, I don't know. My daughter has asthma and she can't find anywhere with supplies either.

Ours still hasn't received any.

They say they will get it in batches, and the first lot will be used for those with chronic disease plans.

Hubby hopes to get his soon, but may have to wait for the second lot which they say should be sometime in May.

last year no one said 'you need it today, yesterday would be better'

so just about everyone is trying to get it yesterday.
