Will go see the GP tomorrow but am just recovering form my 3rd attack in 2 weeks.
But everything I read says that my GB has to be removed. I don't want it removed.
Anyone else managing to survive with it intact?
Any advice?

there are a few other options then having surgery and having your GB removed.
One clinic l worked at a few years ago used a naturopathy / homeopathic remedy
there is a 24 hour one, a 7 day one and a month one, l have seen the results in approx, 10 clients as they proudly brought in their jars full of stone, *blerk haha*
my mil years and years ago did an old old natural treatment she knew from overseas, it was gross but she passed over 40 stones and avoided surgery, which was her plan
Having said all the above, if a major stone is blocking your bile duct, you will need to get that lasered ifyou can't break it down using natural products.
Good luck either way.

But have to add
Get them checked out by a G.P and get some pictures of said offending beasties, just so you get the complete picture and can decide if surgery is needed asap, then you might just have to do that if your health is in jeopardy and time being a concern

My cousins son had his gallbladder removed a few months back, it had turned gangrene 😮 not sure how/why it happened, he is only 16ish.
They were unsure whether to approve the surgery because it seemed a bit drastic for someone so young, the gangrene wasnt discovered until the doctors cut into him. They were very lucky they went ahead with it when they did.

hi martini,
if your doctor says they've gotta go, just get it done otherwise you will end up in crippling pain, not to mention very sick

my partner had hers out a couple of years ago. it had become infected and she was very ill and in incredible pain. it is not a big procedure just overnight.

Yeah I was only overnight in hospital. The surgeon said my gallbladder was quite inflamed. It depends on how many stones, etc to whether you need to have the whole thing removed.
Your body will adapt to not having the gallbladder. The only food I can't eat without feeling sick are sausages (which isn't a bad thing as they are so fatty).
So have you actually been diagnosed with them?

My mum had her gall bladder removed. She has constant pain and was told to lose weight for the surgery. She ate vegetarian for a while. then they removed it.
Initially she had terrible problems with bile and acid, but then got the right medication to control it and now she can eat anything and has not pain from food anymore

I had what they thought was gallstones - went in for the operation and they discovered I had a condition called porcelain gall bladder - whipped it out and have never had a problem since.
Glad they found it cos apparantly that can turn cancerous.
