How nice was she when asked the most offensive question by the Fairfax hack Sattler.
She should have slapped him & walked out but no, she gently chided him.
No shock jock or outrage was seen, no follow up on every news outlet lambasting this cretin, nothing.
So mock outrage for one side & barely a lifted eyebrow for the left hacks.

My response to a debasing insult which he carried on with it for quite a few minutes would have been to tell him, to let everybody know, just how offended she was & terminate the interview. Instead she did nothing of the sort.
She never hesitated to roundly accuse Abbott of sexism & misogyny on the debunked menugate. She accused all conservatives of being infected with sexism & misogyny, she has not said a word about how it has been debunked & how she had the menu in her own office for over 3 months.
She sat there & carried on with the interview after being grossly insulted by this Fairfax announcer.
Does anybody see the difference? or are you all so one eyed that you can't tell double standards when it's staring in the face.

No, what I see is a poster so desperate to attack Gillard they will attack however she responded.

Exactly. Even my husband who is and always has been a Liberal supporter was appalled at the what was said.
She handled it the way it should have been handled.

What a dignified admirable women, to sit there and defend herself and her partner against such an insulting degradation is amazing, had it been me Sattler would have been climbing back to his chair from the floor.
Well done Miss Gillard, once again you have shown your strength and why you deserve to be Prime Minister.

ONLY a liberal luvvie could twist this incident against the PM.
How predictable, how facile and how totally indefensible.
You forgot childish. lol

Facile & indefensible is what I would immediately connect with the actions of Gillard.
Obviously, luvvie, you feel the need to defend this woman, that is your prerogative, all I can say is it must get very tiring with her innumerable missteps, mistakes & the ability to turn a smear on Abbott into a debacle for herself.

Don't you ever get tired of posting this drivel.

I have no time for Julia but that questioning was way out of line and I think she handled it well.
That announcer lost the plot a long time ago, he does carry on stupid sometimes. He doesn't seem to think things out and often suffers from a knee jerk reaction to things.
I was only saying to my dentist on Wednesday afternoon (he had him on the radio) that it might be time that that announcer retired in the light of his health and also the way he carries on.

I listened to this & was shocked at what this moron said to Gillard. So why did she sit there, take it, & carry on as if she hadn't just been grossly insulted to her face???
What a hypocrite she is, another example of why she has trashed any credibility in the eyes of the majority of Australians.
while I was in the bath, I was thinking about this post. If she had've just 'walked out", today's headlines would be" PM refuses to answer question about Tim" and everyone would assume that he was gay . IMO she did the right thing as PM and as an unmarried woman with a partner
