Every battened down, Cyclone down to Cat 4, still going to get high winds and heaps of rain.

Nice calm morning, sky Grey now.

Going down to the beach later to have a look at the waves.

I've been watching that monstrous cyclone on the live satellite radar Rosie, it seems to be veering somewhat to the east now, but you are right, the north island will certainly know about it.  Here's hoping it doesn't change course.  Stay safe xx

Yes Tas as long as it goes East we are fine.

Not to bad down at the beach, there will be a very high tide, may go back agin before dark

So far the Cyclone is a fizzer, I have seen bigger storms on the Gold Coast.

Just rain and wind, think I will go to the beach and look for Drift wood, has to be better then drying off a wet cat and throwing the ball for her every five minutes

Morning all.

Great pics Lion, here and elsewhere. Hope the storm did fizzle out, I haven't looked at the weather sites yet. Other than BOM, looks like showers here today. That is fine by me, has been getting a bit dry.

Off to the podiatrist this morning. My doc sends me every 10 weeks as I find it hard to cut nails etc. Always feels great afterwards.

Thank goodness that cyclone well and truly fizzled and missed NZ ... talk about holding our breath!  It was a shocking size as it went over Vanuatu and flattened it.

I enjoyed the storm went down to the beach 5 times in two days rain and all.
