Glad they announced it otherwise i would not have remembered the title.
Sounded great on the road, especially equipped with a good 4 speaker sound system

Any P.Floyd songs does it for me.
An oldie that reminds me of the good ol' days cruising around town with my mates on a friday or saturday night... this song would come on [driving either my 74 monaro or 350 HQ statesman]....

Also Gary Numan Link
Nice songs, gosh, so many artists I've never heard of.
Which one is the A9X Torana? My Dad owned two Toranas - the first was the original two door shape, don't know the model number, he got it cheap because the second body shape was coming in. By 1974, we had outgrown it and he bought a 4 door with the 3300 motor, again the model no. escapes me. I tried googling but none of the model numbers seem right.

A9X option Madaamuck,
During 1977, the LX series saw the development of another limited build high-performance option aimed at winning in Australian Touring Car racing, and in particular at the annual Bathurst 1000 touring car race. This was the 'A9X Option' that was available on the 5.0-litre V8 powered SLR 5000 sedan and SS hatchback models. The A9X visually resembled the L34 optioned LH model, but with the addition of a rear-ward facing bonnet scoop that was specially designed to increase airflow through the engine bay to produce maximum power in racing conditions. The A9X package varied from the old L34 in road form in that whilst the engine was not modified, the A9X nevertheless had some special mechanical features such as rear disc brakes, heavy duty axles and a heavy duty '10 bolt' differential.
I have owned two of these Homologations...

Yes, I remember the racing models that were made with that body shape. We just had the regular family car, the Kingswood was around but it cost more and my Dad wasn't keen to pay the extra.
Before he met me, my OH had a Monaro that he rebuilt. I'll have to find a piccy one day. He doesn't have it anymore but it was his pride and joy. I think it was a 77 model, not sure as I never saw it.

Jo, Asked OH again, it was a 74 Monaro with V8 motor. Petrol guzzler which was even more so by the time he fixed it up.

Is this another attempt to get a music thread going on the CS board? Instead of on the Fun & Games board wher reeeeely, technically it should be?
Just sayin.
