Australia Post are going to have a different commemorative $1 coin starting on the 30th for twenty six weeks to hand out in their change

I'm going to have to buy some new pages for my coin album

We've already had a heap of different circulation coins this year what with the new obverse effigy

Unfortunately this stupid phone doesn't always allow you to share via clipboard so I can't provide a link but if you have an Australia Post account you can check it out

Oh, I see.  I was buying stuff too but just things I wanted. Paid with a $20 and they would give me as many of the coins they could in my change.  Apart from the first week, I managed to get all the new ones they had.  This morning though they only had one that I didn't already have. Hope they have more next week.

I'm missing C, E, L and W.
I have thirty eight coins two dollars each and the folder.
Sometimes I received one I already had.
I've decided to give the incomplete folder to my nephew and some coins to swap with others for his birthday.
So he can contribute to it.
I'm going to buy a full set for myself.
So that'll stop me feeling scammed
So thanks for your offer K1ooo but I won't be taking it up

The coin dealers are starting to advertise the coins and folders for $60 to $69.

It woud be so much easier to buy that way instead of going to the PO every day in the hope of getting the coins you want.

I think you can order them directly from the mint (although there is a limit of 3 packs). I had an email from them a few days ago to that effect. I did consider buying a pack but it would just be another thing to store.

When I first read about the promotion I was sure it said there was a limited mint but I've just found this ad which says there is a limit to special 'A' coins. I guess it you buy the set out of the roll the As will have been checked and removed if scarce

Next they will be flogging the special A coins with the AP letter mark at grossly inflated prices.

What gets to me is how ugly the coins all are......very cheap looking and poor design.

Lyndal, you were right.
They definitely did sell at greatly inflated prices to begin with but they are coming down as the people with the deep pockets have been fleeced.
I still haven't made up my mind on this coin.
I'm waiting to see if they get below one hundred dollars and maybe if I receive enough money at Christmas I'll be tempted but I'm currently spending $150 a fortnight to have my grass cut so I don't get fined by the Shire for breaching fire abatement laws.
For the first time in my life I wish I was cutting my grass.
I purchased a set and folder but I didn't get the privy/mint mark coin but have the full set for my collection.
I'm hoping that the RAM stop bringing out any more coins for circulation because this year has been the biggest year for collectors ever.
I'd hate to think how much the guys that collect everything that the RAM mints have spent this year because alongside all the coins for circulation they always pump out stuff just for the collectors.
Just for anyone that's interested.
There are two more mules to be on the lookout for and these are worth way more than the first one.
2014 100 years of ANZAC and the 2015 mob of roos.
As like the first these have been struck with the ten cent obverse and only two of the 2014 coin have been found and one of the 2015.
It's highly unlikely that only those three coins were struck and if you find one it may fetch up to twenty thousand dollars if the right buyer is found.
Also keep your eyes peeled for the 2006 double obverse five cent coin, I really want that one

I agree the coins look very boring.  You'd think they could have put a bit more effort into the design.  I was interested in buying a set....until I had a closer look.  They aren't worth it.
