Waste waste and simply more waste from this INEPT govt

They are risking our money on risky loans for projects that won’t lower the temperature anyway, under a scheme almost certain to be scrapped in four months:

THE Clean Energy Finance Corporation is planning to write up to $800 million in green loans before t...   defying the Coalition’s call for the agency not to sign contracts before September 14 because Tony Abbott has vowed to scrap it.

The CEFC has revealed it is in “active discussions” with 50 projects seeking $2 billion and that an additional 119 project proponents have presented proposals that are seeking finance worth $3.3bn. The figures are contained in an email from the CEFC to the opposition pleading its case not to be scrapped if the Coalition wins the election.

Why doesn’t the Gillard Government stop this reckless waste of scarce money?

The one who wears 6 inch heels.   The one who has her eye on the top job (fat chance).  The one who is not married and has no children, but when she is acting PM, no barbs will be thrown at her as they were at PM Gillard.

(And you know  that the higher the heels the lower the IQ)

LL: "Bolt, yourself and I are unqualified to comment for this reason. remember (just as he has forgotten conveniently) That the Howard Government was the most wasteful in australian history."

Comments do not require qualifications apropos the topic LL, CS is a good example.

"the Howard Government was the most wasteful in australian history."

Profligate yes, but they were spending money they had.

PD: "J bishop the lawyer who's primary calling was to deprive asbestos victims of pay outs"

Yet again PD, Bishop was only an instructing solicitor in the case you refer to, and doing her job as dictated by the Law Society  rules and ethics. which if she contravened  could lead to to  the loss of her Practicing Certificate.

Comments still do not require qualifications apropos the topic!

How did they get money?

They sold the gold and the money generating GBE Telstra.

Then set in place tax cuts that are now causing deficit.

Labor is undertaking the sale of the century ahead of the election.

It’s been revealed the Clean Energy Finance Corporation is making a dash with taxpayers’ cash to sign up billions of dollars in contracts before the writs are issued on August 12.

The Coalition has repeatedly stated that it does not support these green loans which are putting taxpayers’ money at risk.

The Government is borrowing $10 billion to allow the Clean Energy Finance Corporation to invest in projects which the private sector has rejected as too risky.

It has the authority to start writing cheques from 1 July, just weeks before the election.

The CEFC has confirmed that it is in active discussions with 50 projects worth $2 billion plus it has received requests for finance for a further $3.3 billion in projects.

At a time when there is a Budget emergency, the Government should not be risking further taxpayers’ money.

well the government supporters value those programs , so you lot will just have to live with it.

after all ,if the pundits and tom waterhouse is right.. the rest of us will have to cope with cuts to almost everything of value in a decent progressive society to appease flat -earth rednecks. so deal with it

There is no budget emergency.

The emergency would be created if the loans did not go ahead as businesses have invested heavily in preparation.

Who do you want to punish?
