All that is needed now is for people to get rid of Milne and the poisonous Hanson Young then Australia will have achieved what many desire, an end to this vicious and destructive fringe who have moved from the original ratbag eviromental party to a vicious protest group.
Labor learnt the hard way just how toxic these people are., they destroyed Gillard and have now decimated Tasmania Labor.
Hanson Young barely clung onto her seat last election, Ludlum looks shaky and Labor has promised never to enter into minority partnership with them again, we'll see.
The Greens eptomise that old adage "the scorpion and the frog":
Tasmanian Greens lose parliamentary party status after winning just three seats
March 27, 2014, 8:45 am
ABC The Greens former deputy leader Tim Morris has lost his seat in Lyons.
The Tasmanian Greens have lost their status as a parliamentary party after retaining only three of their five seats.
The result in Lyons has now been confirmed showing former deputy leader Tim Morris has been edged out in the sprawling rural seat by Labor stalwart and former minister David Llewellyn.
Mr Morris says it is a blow to his party, which will now be short of the four MPs needed to be recognised as parliamentary party.
“That will be reasonably significant for the party and the way that it operates in the Parliament,” he said.
“Yes, that’s disappointing but that’s what the voters have chosen,” he said.
As well as Lyons, the Tasmanian Electoral Commission (TEC) has confirmed the results in Franklin and counting is continuing today in Bass, Braddon and Denison.
In Franklin, voters have ended the parliamentary career of former Labor cabinet minister David O’Byrne, instead electing Upper House Independent MP turned Liberal candidate Paul Harriss.
Greens MP Kim Booth is set to be the party’s third MP.
He is ahead of former Labor Attorney-General Brian Wightman in Bass.
In Braddon, the Palmer Party has been officially excluded from the preference distribution, with the Liberals tipped to win a fourth seat in the division.
Labor’s Madeleine Ogilvie is now ahead of the party’s Julian Amos in Denison but by just 33 votes.
Counting is expected to be finalised by Friday.

I find it amazing how some on here can defend what the Greens have done to the Labor party. Is it a case of scoffing at anything a conservative posts, like a knee jerk reaction, or it it antipathy of any real criticism of recent history.
The Greens hide behind their original tenet of environmental protection, they ditched that years ago for radical protest of anything not to the far left of politics. They have been likened to watermelons for decades and yet young voters fall for their radicalism.
Is it the old adage that people vote left and Green until they reach 40 then make the move to the centre of politics and gravitate to the conservative side of the political spectrum.
Of course there will always be the die hard Labor supporters and that's how it should be but supporting the poisonous Green Party is something that should be avoided by impressionable young voters if they value our lifestyle.

Party's over for Greens
THE Greens have only themselves to blame for any loss of resources and speaking time in Parliament, Premier-elect Will Hodgman has said.
The former minority government partners no longer qualify for party status in the Tasmanian Parliament after an 8 per cent swing against them cost them two seats at the election.
It is now up to the incoming Liberal government to determine whether the remaining three Green MHAs will be entitled to any extra resources on top of the basic entitlements for backbenchers.

federally the greens have improved their base in recent polling. they aren't going anywhere. as the party with the foremost climate policy they will continue to attract more voters much to the chagrin of LNP rustbuckets..

'' The primary vote results are notable for having the Greens at a new high for the current term, and a look at the charts suggests the recent move in their favour is more than just statistical noise.''
bludgertrack.

Good morning LL, a rustbucket here ...lol.
So you are happy with what the toxic partnership with the Greens resulted in for Labor?? the biggest loss in 100 years simply because Gillard married them.
You are happy that Gillard betrayed the Australian public because the Greens wanted to bring in the CT, which she vowed she wouldn't do?
Gillard didn't have to buckle to the Greens, we all know they are the far left arm of the Labor party and will always vote with Labor.
What was she thinking? or wasn't she?
So no matter how toxic the relationship is with Green, Labor will always bow down to them to regain power or to cling onto power?
I wonder what the rank and file think about this? will the party reform itself and stand on it's own? we'll see at the next convention or will it be the thing that cannot be named.?

are you happy with the nationals rubber stampers ? they don't represent their constituents adequately.. when it comes to the topical issues in the regions (fracking CSG) locals think like greens and vote for nats like idiots. the only party they have on side are the greens yet they stick to a party that cares nothing for the regions. now that's silly (but understandable) considering the millions spent misinforming them.

and the greens labor CT matter has been misrepresented also.
''there will be no ct under a government i lead But we will be moving to an emissions trading scheme'' which we did,
