Grrr! Husbands & DIY Flat Packs

Just purchased some of those DIY flat pack cupboards.

Hubby (who can't get down to floor very easily) decided to put them together himself...although our son just lives 5 mins away and would gladly help.

He spent all arvo getting one put together about halfway through on the kitchen bench. Then came time to lift it down to floor level with my help. Well I should have realised it wasn't a good idea. On the way down it completely fell to pieces. The pins just didn't come out,  they actually  wrenched all the particleboard joins apart.  The b#@!!dy thing is completely ruined. $100 down the drain.

Why is it some men won't ask for help? We have a new lounge to put together too...maybe I should sell tickets so people can come & get an afternoons entertainment.

Yep, ego it is. We just had a husband and son "thing" over opening a new jar of jam for me 🙂

Last flat packs we had were a cpl of bookshelves hubs sat on the lounge and watched me put them together lol

Same icy. I am much better at that type of thing than him, so usually after a galant start he retreats and lets me get on with it LOL
