I thought this might be of help.:|
It isn't to me..... as it is not applicable to what I have concerns about..........
If the posting content or style of a particular member is causing problems for you, there is a feature available to ignore all posted content from that member. This allows you to avoid unwanted or undesirable post
content. You can learn more about this function here:
http://community.ebay.com.au/help.jspa#setprofile
Any posts that explicitly violate the eBay Board Usage Policy
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/everyone-ov.html
can be reported for review.
To report a post, click the “Report Abuse” link located on every post, and select the violation from the pull-down menu.
Alternatively, you might choose to start an eBay Group
http://community.ebay.com.au/help.jspa#groups
As a Group Leader, you can select either a public or private setting and either allow public participation or limit the membership to a specific subset of friends and
acquaintances which will allow you to restrict the conversation to only those with whom you wish to engage.

I cant comment on that because I don't know the content of the post so I can neither agree or disagree.
Some posts that are reported are completely innocuous, these are the ones that Lion refers too!!

That's ridiculous

Here is something for anyone who think they could do the job better:

I have had a couple removed that did not fit the category reported under so they changed the category when I appealed. When Shane was here one removed didn't fit any catergory but he said it still stands.

Omg, not another thread about the same ole same ole.

Crystal, this thread is 2 months old......I inadvertantly bumped it... while looking at another thread content

I am bumping this thread on purpose this time........sorry Crystal. ]:)
Curiously, I have mail for discussing a no longer registered member.... I do not know them personally, have not communicated with them, have not been told they are no longer registered...... so... how are we supposed to work with that?
and the other one was not a no longer registered member, merely one having a holiday.
Not impressed with ebay moderation.
I also have a question.... if you have a group, as per the suggestion by the mod in the OP, and someone disagrees, is there a facility to report the posts, in there?
on 07-05-2013 07:02 PM
i got a few of those.......i'm pretty sure the warning said suspended OR no longer registered member and i think the mods are hip to all that code talk :^O well, Shane used to be anyway....
Re the groups, I haven't actually been in one but it looks like its the same rules
