HELP ME PLEASE ... MY WASHING MACHINE IS DOING WEIRD THINGS ...

It's a Whirlpool ... over the last few days it hasn't been washing properly, leaving clothes feeling soapy and very wet.  Earlier today, I put it on again on a rapid cycle, hoping the problem has been solved.

Now, I have a load of foam in the machine, some of it is coming out on to the floor - I didn't add washing powder to this load (probably a VERY GOOD THING!!!!).  

It SEEMS to be adding water from the tap, and it seems to be getting rid of the dirty water through the hose thingie.  

What's going on????? 

What should I do????

Glad it is ok now Katy. Hope that the sore back and headache clears soon. Bella you are always welcome in Coffs try to come a few kilometres south to Sawtell, leaves Coffs for dead and only about 10 mins driving time.
