I had a 15 litre petrol can filled it up, the pump said it took almost 19 litres to fill it to the top. The pumps can't be that far wrong can it?
I always find certain pumps often cost me noticeably more for the same amount. Have you noticed that too?

no doubt some servos skim the system - mess with the pump counters

well, I'm find out tomorrow I have several petrol cans needing topping. I stopped after the first one today. But I find it varies even between pumps in the same shop. I always stick with the one that seems to do the best. Might just be psychological. I was just shocked when I've got a measuring can today.

Back in the old days--only standard and super petrol.
Difference in price-from memory 94-97 octane.
Some servo owners would after hours make a shandy.
Get the nozzle from the standard pump and run it into the
underground super tank--shifty stuff has gone on for years...............Richo.

Another scam they are pulling here (and maybe there?),
most places charge 10 cents extra if you use a credit/debit card and a few charge a dollar or more extra.
They have the prices on the signs, but some are charging an extra dollar even though it says 10 cents.
Edit: I don't know why this post went clear off the page, so I shortened the sentences.
