Hi all,
To those that live around the Crib Point area, do you know what the extremely loud BANG was last night (Sunday).
It shook the house and scared the life out of a whole lot of people who congregated in the street.

Hi aps,
Not that anyone could say. It seemed like it was around the houses which a lot of the people thought.

Any "laboratories" in nearby bushland?
Teenage girl slamming door?

Someone with a few large bangers. Remember NY Eve in a day or two so might have been someone having a bit of fun with some fireworks LOL
If you want a few more, happy to come down

Hi Deb and apps,
No, it wasn't a teenage girl - she lives in a caravan next door and it scared the life out of her.
It was far too big to be a fire cracker/banger of any sort. Houses shook which is what made the people come out of their houses.
There is a family one street over who regularly lets off fire crackers and I think even they got a fright.
There was avery bright flash and bang - it reminded me of the flash bang granades I have seen go off before - the bang was as loud as they are.
Hopefully we will find out somehow.
apps, the rogue cracker family have enough for the whole of the Mornington Peninsula, it is a regular fireworks display at least once a month. They are off their cracker.
