Hamas fires more rockets to break yet another ceasefire

Hamas breaks yet another ceasefire - its sixth? - demonstrating it really, really prefers war:

Talks being held in Cairo for a long-term Gaza cease-fire broke down Tuesday as Israel recalled its delegation hours after Palestinian militants broke an earlier truce by launching volleys of rockets.

“Today’s rocket attack on Beersheba is a grave and direct violation of the cease-fire to which Hamas committed itself,” said Mark Regev, a spokesman for the Israeli government. ”This is the 11th cease-fire that Hamas has either rejected or violated,” he said.

Gaza: Three rockets fired from Gaza struck southern Israel on Tuesday, breaking a ceasefire, drawing Israeli retaliation and prompting Israel to recall its delegation from already fraught Egyptian-brokered talks in Cairo for an agreement to end the conflict.

The three rockets struck southern Israel, near the city of Beersheba, the Israeli military said, nearly eight hours before a ceasefire - extended by one day on Monday - was due to expire. Two other rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system over the southern town of Netivot.

They said the objective was breaking the blockade , and that's a worthy goal. Nobody wants to live in the worlds largest prison unable to come and go . Egypt and Israel need to do do the right thing as this racist blockade has gone on for too long.  A two state solution is a priority.

As you appear to be a supporter of HAMAS and their attacks on Israel and you appear to be informed.......  a question:

Why are they (Hamas) not attacking Egypt?

 I'm not a Hamas supporter, thats a ludicrous neo-con view (you saying that without any foundation for the claim) I'm partly Jewish (enough to qualify for citizenship)  I suspect they dont attack Egypt mainly because of the distance and Egypt are not their Jailers.

Gaza is a large prison inside Israel not Egypt .

if only the Israelies would give them some concessions and start treating the Palistiinians as fellow human beings,  there may be peace in that region, but  I can't see it happening.

How is it fair when Israels terms of the ceasefire are always demilitarise, disarm, quiet for quiet, statas quo ect ect.

Hamas's always seem to be release prisoners held illegally in Israel, end occupation and blockade.  

They are at logger heads because of course Israel are going to agree to a ceasefire that benefits only them.

Why cant they end the occupation and blockade? Why cant they do what Nazi Germany/Britian did (ie offered the Jewish people of Germany safe haven to Palestine it was at the time now Israel) and broker a deal with Egypt for the Palestinian refugees or those innocent people that just want to gtfo of the warzone?

Actually britain tried to stop the initial jewish settlements in palestine , it was the palestinians who were sympathetic , shortly after the settlers launched a terror campaign to drive palestinians out (with help from sympathisers ) the result is the situation we have today.

And nothing will ever change that now.  But (and I am well aware that it's not this simple) but how the f is there not enough room in the middle east for a Jewish state and an Islamic state and even a Christian state?  What is the matter with these people?  They should be able to share the space and live how they want to live instead of being greedy or extremist.  Theres enough room on the earth for everyone fgs...

 The "Anglo French Declaration." of 1918 proclaimed the right to independence of all the peoples of the Middle East who had been under the rule of the Ottoman Turks.

England later decided - without any justification - that Palestine had not been included in the terms of this declaration and remained under British mandate.

They also decided that a 'homeland' for the Jews should be set up within Palestine - much against the wishes of the Palestinian People. After WWll - and following a terror campaign by the Zionist Organization, Ergun, Israel was granted independent statehood. No offer of Statehood was ever made to Palestine.

How can a peace deal be brokered when it's all take and no give on the Israeli side.  They talk about negotiations but won't allow the Palestinians a meaningful voice in the negotiations.  They're expected to take the little that's on offer and remain imprisoned in what remains of their lands without access to essential services and with their lands getting smaller and smaller.
