Thinking about Openly carrying your firearm? AWESOME! The following video is a checklist of things to remember to make your support of our second amendment go more smoothly. This is a common sense checklist and is not the offering of any paid experts.

FYI, I moved when my home was taken by the sheriffs and handed over to my sister. Was homeless for a time and now in an apartment. With the exception of the HWP, I have not had any problems with cops so far, in fact there are more cops here than where I used to live and they seem to be leaving me alone.
But what you are forgetting is that people have a SS number, there are cops everywhere and when you leave the county or state, your arrest record, criminal history follows you. On the topic of getting a job, or into an apartment, I never would pass a background check. Just because I have been arrested, even without a single conviction any check will come back with two words (criminal history) A cop can arrest anyone guilty or not, they often arrest the victim rather than the aggressor. It won't say I was never convicted, it will only say "criminal history" that's one thing, another is that a judge has actually rulled that I was not to own or live in a home with guns of any kind. I can be arrested for visiting my dad, because he is what you would call a gun fondler and has them, has for many years.
There is no where I know of where I would be allowed to own a gun legally by any means but thats OK, I have accepted that. I'm not that young, my best years are behind me and I might not have one even if I were allowed by law. I'm kinda soured to the notion of having a gun after what I had been through.
But when I see those like you who praise everything the cops do, and spout off about how people other then themselves shouldn't have guns, but it's OK for them, I think maybe we should outlaw or ban them all, for everyone. Why have a 2ed if it's always violated and only applies to cops and the friends of cops?
For all the whining about we need more gun control, more permits, regulations, regestrations, we have it, we have all that and more. It's not applied evenly to everyone, that's the problem.
So repeal the 2ed, or stop violating it. Give us all freedom or make us all slaves.

The reason the right to own weapons isn't applied evenly to everybody is that some individuals have no business owning firearms, that includes the mentally ill, felons, and those convicted of domestic abuse.........
I know there are cops who shouldn't be cops........I've just never run into any, and virtually every youtube video denigrating police are the product of someone with an agenda.

And this will be my last post to this thread.......this isn't something that should be argued on an Australian board.

"another is that a judge has actually rulled that I was not to own or live in a home with guns of any kind."
How absolutely pleasing to know that there are some sane people in the US.
I don't think that fo-trut/joanie realises that the US is not the world. All this rabbiting on about the 2nd amendment which was written when there was no police force, army, and "citizens" were expected to defend themselves against the local Indian population, bandits and the British invaders is a bit hollow when you realise that the arms they referred to were single shot muskets. Never heard of a high velocity 30 round automatic musket.
perhaps you could give people of the world who are not US citizens a bit peace and quite by stop trying to ram your hysterical rantings down our throats and get a bit help for yourself.

Oregon has a self-defense law based on the castle doctrine. The law includes a “stand your ground” clause, meaning crime victims do not have a duty to retreat before using physical or deadly force under the guidelines of the law. Deadly force is permissible when a victim reasonably believes that another person is about to use deadly force against him.

By replying to this topic, you wholeheartedly agree with open carry and think any and all gun bans and unconstitutional gun legislation should be repealed or lifted in Australia. I'm glad you all agree.

Some members may have still had doubts about you but that ridiculous statement has removed all doubt,

Showing videos of guns drives it home even further.
Guy Takes Gun Control into His Own Hands
Then showing a T-shirt seller spoof with a semi automatic people killer so that he can sell more T-shirt
takes it way over the top,
Semi Automatics should not be in the hands of ordinary citizens,(their only use is to kill people) and a
"nutter" can get easy access to these weapons due to their availability).
You just don't get it,(but that's why you keep posting this and other diatribe as you realize no ones cares
about your "issues" and you don't have the capacity to leave it alone),

We don't have any unconstitutional gun legislation in Australia to be repealed.....we don't have a constitution (shock, horror!)
And we have not had any mass slaughter of innocent citizens since our gun laws were implemented after the Port Arthur massacre in 1996.
