Handy to know-how to make mask

If you cannot buy one, you can make one.  Apparently, in the USA even doctors use home made ones if they cannot get supply of the real thing.  Not the best, but better than nothing.

Making your own face mask to help keep coronavirus at bay is hard — but not because of your sewing skills

Handy to know-how to make mask

It really is quite simple; put your hand 6" in front of your mouth and exhale, feel the force of your breath, then cough and feel the difference.   Then put triple layer of tightly woven material  over you mouth and nose and do the same.  My respiratory system is pretty difficult, and breathing cool air for even few minutes gives me sore throat and cough, and I know that draping scarf over my mouth, even very flimsy or loosely knitted one helps to filter out the col.

I also find that wearing the mask makes me very aware of the need not to touch my face, and keeping distance from people etc.

Here we are; 7 months down the track; the whole world has pretty much accepted that masks are one simple and effective way to reduce the spread of COVID19.  We have whole suburbs in lockdown, but nobody is talking about the masks.  Although they are widely available.  What is wrong with our governement?

And more simulated tests show how and how far  the droplets spread:
