What are you doing today to celebrate our wonderful lucky country ?
We are having a big family and friends day at Darling Harbour. We will be having a picnic lunch and dinner and watching all the sideshows, exhibitions and bands, culminating in the fireworks.
It is a fantastic day out.

Totally exhausted, but it was a nice day...and only slight sunburn.
We took our own food and drinks and didn't fall into the commercial souveneirs crap.
Nice day with family, bestie and her three kids...off to shower and bed before Church in the morning.

This morning a big cruise boat was anchored in the middle harbour. There must not have been any berths available in Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. It had a big banner on the side - Aussie Aussie Aussie. I thought that nice.
Went out to Windsor RSL to have lunch with my sisters, I was surprised to see business as usual, no two-up, no nothing. Considering Windsor and the Hawkesbury Valley were the foodbasket of the fledgeling colony.
Came home expecting fireworks over the harbour but didn't see any. OK I did doze off watching TV, but still...
Plenty of drunk yobbos roaming the streets roaring out rude words. Police sirens not long after.

Right now I'm watching the movie Australia with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. It's still good the second time round
