a thermomix?

I'd never heard of the things till a couple of years back & then I saw some rave reviews about them.

Now I have been invited to a home demo.

I know they are extremely expensive (over $2000) & was just wondering if anyone here had one, or had used one and if so, what do they get the most use out of them for? And what people think of them.

Worth it or not?

Haha. Yes, you would think so, but these machines are apparently very popular. I've seen them on masterchef & I have read some of the rave reviews on other sites.

I guess I will just have to go along and see one in action, but I was hoping some people here might have used one and could say if they are worth all the hype or not.

My cousin has one, and thinks it is the best thing since sliced bread, she says it is worth every cent of the $2000. There are cheaper versions on the market, If I wanted one, I would buy the cheaper version.

I can think of alot of things I could do with $2000, and buying a thermomix isnt one of them.
