It does work you must be doing it wrong.

 That is quite possible. I suspect I am a bit like my father. He told me once that in his younger days he went to see a stage hypnotist. the show was based on the man  hypnotising selected members of the audience and demonstrating his powers on them. Dad was curious and really, really wanted to be one of those selected. 

To choose suitable subjects the hypnotist told the audience to rest their arms on the arms of their seats, then after talking them into a relaxed and receptive mood he told them "Now, when you try to raise your arms you will not be able to do so, they are glued to the arms of yours seat".

Dad was determined to believe this, he told himself over and over: "I can't raise my arms; I can't raise my arms; I can't raise my arms; I........oh, this is ridicluous"- : and lifted them off the seat.  Many members of the audience did in fact find it impossible tolift their arms and they were the ones chosen for the show.

The pineal gland is real and is situated between your eyebrows. It takes time to align yourself to the right level of consciousness and when you do you will start to see

The pineal gland is certainly real. It  is involved in several functions of the body including:

• Secretion of the Hormone Melatonin
• Regulation of Endocrine Functions
• Conversion of Nervous System Signals to Endocrine Signals
• Causes Feeling of Sleepiness
• Influences Sexual Development.

It is no drug it is a real experience, if you do it right you will start to see what you thought was impossible, the sixth sense.

How would this experience differ from a similar one that I might get from taking LSD?

Answer = If you are taking LSD you are out of your mind and on drugs. If the 3rd eye opens you are NOT asleep and not on drugs. You can't open the 3rd eye if you are sleeping. Opening the 3rd eye is a conscious decision, you are fully alert and aware and you can see things you thought impossible.

I did some research and found this video, it explains the chakras and how to meditate to make it happen.

It goes for 56min and it explains in detail how this works. Remember: It wont work if you sleep you got to be awake. This is the mistake a lot of people do, they think if they sleep it will happen.

Apart from the obvious - ie God has ALWAYS existed,  according to your statement above (Mary is the mother of God) .... 

let's see.... God (before he existed - ie before his Mother Mary bore him) made a miracle happen? That miracle being "please mum,  have a baby and call me God so that I can always have existed....  ?????

Makes perfect sense to someone ... but he is locked in a small room and wearing a very long sleeved shirt.

If you can explain this all to me, I would be very grateful.

well, I can explain how that particular miracle DIDN'T happen. "it's all a mystery" -  another Catholic cop-out.

It's as plain as the nose on your face if you study the Bible. God - always existed - always had an internal power (we'll call that Holy Spirit) then, using that power (Holy Spirit)  He created a Son - another Spirit like God himself -  we'll call this new person Jesus for reference purposes.

Then, THEY (God and His ONLY Son - Jesus ) created other spirits - we'll call these angels for simplicities sake. 

Then ... THEY (God and His ONLY Son - Jesus) created the heavens and the earth and here we are.

Simple, nothing mysterious about it. God has a ONLY SON named Jesus and they  BOTH have the power that originally belonged to God'- The Holy Spirit.

NB. I have used Jesus in italics, because that probably wasn't his original name in Heaven prior to his earthly existence.

In the beginning there was NOTHING - no God, no air, no gas, no solids, no water, no space - and then there was a BIG BANG and everything came magically into existence. Billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars and then, in one tiny corner of one of those galaxies, with a Sun just the right distance away and a moon - just the right distance away - a planet called earth - for no reason at all, with no planning behind it, suddenly millions of species of life came about, and then one of these species evolved into intelligent mankind.
