Hey, new topic, lookee here ......

The Help ...........Has anyone read this book and loved it as much as I'm loving it?  They've made a movie too which I can't wait to

see once I've read the book.  I'm a readaholic and am thrilled when I find something that is so original and

stand out for me like this one.........

It's in my Favourites folder on my kindle.

I have just finished Gone With the Wind. Really enjoyed that, although I did cringe at some of the attitudes of the time.

I was sorry I ever read it.

 

My whole idea of Scarlet went out the window.

 

Turned out to be nothing but a spoilt brat.

 

Always wondered why she wanted the feeble what's his name (played by Lesley Howard) when Clark was on the table.

Yes, I loved it too, based on a true story? Maybe mistaken on that. The movie? .....well I was a bit disappointed, thought the book painted such a good imagination picture that I was let down, but that was probably because so much had to fit in to the story in film.

Think it was totally Margaret Mitchell's vivid imagination.

 

Pity she only ever wrote one book.

 

But it was a Humdinger.
