You're right Joz. I love the fact any animal can live with humans and cats personalities vary so much.
When someone says something like that it reminds me of when a baby squirrel was left an orphan. Even though many consider them pest and or rats with fluffy tails, I spent my time and money to rescue and raise it.
When I walked up to it in the parking lot...it was dirty and confused. The little thing walked up to my foot, stood on it's hind legs and put it's arms out as if it was saying...help me! I had someone keep and eye on it while I went and got a cage and pet food for babies.
Something I didn't know till then.....He would sit on my shoulder and nuzzle my ear and purr! Squirrels purr!!
When he grew I'd leave him on my back steps with the cage open, till one day he moved into the trees and started his own family.
