Don't know that I ever did realise. Just became a habit. Maybe it was when I cleaned out his work ute and washed the 10 jumpers I found in there.

When you think about them when they are not around, and you actually want to talk to them when they call. 

When you want to do more for them, than you expect from them. When you can imagine how good they smell, even when you haven't seen them for a few days. 

When you can take a walk together in silence, and feel like it was the best walk ever. 

When you can argue, and think about not hurting the other person during the argument. No threats, or below the belt remarks. 

When walking away is not the first option you think of when you are bored, or get into a fight. 

I've been married for over 25 years. Being in love is a good thing.
