How do you pronouce g a r a g e

Just recently I've heard a couple of people saying it as   gar ridge.  I've alway said  gar rar ge.

Am I just not posh.

gararje but with the emphasis on the first syllable.  Putting the emphasis on the second syllable make you sound a bit hoity toity.

really??  i've always pronounced it the same way as massage.
