I can think of better things the money can be used for quite frankly.
If it helps keep married couples together It'd probably be a lot cheaper for the taxpayer than paying divorced mums a single parent's pension

Do you really think that one session, which is just about what $200 would buy, will stop people from getting divorced?

That's what I thought. A friend of mine is having counselling, $200 would cover 2 visits, and that's about it.

This has got to be one of the silliest schemes I have heard of, particularly when we are cutting and slashing in so many other areas. I'm sure there are plenty of couples who would benefit from some counselling, but really if they have to rely on a government handout to go and get it I don't think they are really all that committed. If they were they would pay for it themselves.

I think I have heard of such a thing - mix some 2gb with some telegraph and add a bit of courier mail, seems to work.

But seriously:-) Wouldn't that money been more useful in other areas e.g to develop a drug that stops people from being left wing.
OMG
