How long should a fridge last for...

I've had my Westinghouse for 8 years and it's finally carked it - after a costly repair last year.

Just wondering -  I'm sure in the last generation fridges used to last a lot longer.

What are others experiences?

It hasn't got a name on it.  It's some kind of an eagle emblem.

It's not real.  It's a miniature 😄

They are great miniatures all made by the same company in England.

The fridge is so solid.  It actually weighs over half a kilo and inside it has an ice chest and the old shelves.

Yes, the older ones did last a bit longer.

My 1965 Kelvinator has had a set of door seals. That's it. Never a thermostat, regas or any other such work. Purrs along like a new one.

Yes, I have an opinion. No you don't have to agree with it. Yes I do have a right to it.

If you know of someone with access to Choice, they have reviewed over 70 fridges. 😉

A 65 Kelvinator?  Nearly 50 years?  Truly awesome.  .

And Joono I love your miniature kitchen,  ducks and all. Have you got any other miniature rooms?

Yes I have Brighton.  I've even started decorating my antique cupboard in miniature style.

This is one section I was doing for Christmas.

My Westinghouse is 31 years and still going strong. I've only ever had the seals replaced once.
