My son went to the dentist the other day for the very first time and he said his teeth were really good.

I took my children as youngsters too (aged 3/4). Just to ride in the dentist chair, feel the polishing brush on their fingernail, get some goodies and generally to just get them used to the fact that the dentist is not a scary person.
After that check ups twice a year, yearly sometimes depending on if the school dentist had been around.
It was our dentist who picked up that my daughters mouth was a bit overcrowded and that she may need a couple of molars removed and possibly braces.
Which she did a few years later on.
Their teeth are terrific.
I wish mine were. No fluoride in the water when I was a youngster. And now living in Qld, no fluoride here either.

I had 4 silver(black coloured, mercury amalgam) fillings put in 4 different molars before I was 10 years old and stopped going to the dentist once a year. Since then all the rest of my teeth have been fine.
Just had all four mercury fillings replaced with porcelein.
Asked the dentist why I had so many fillings put in very young teeth, he said it was the practise(years ago) to fill teeth(especially molars) if they were "deep" because they were certain to decay anyway.
DOES EVERYONE KNOW MERCURY IS TOXIC!
Do you know they have to drill away up to 1/3 of the tooth away to fix the amalgam in?
What other medical procedure is still the same since invention in the mid 1800's?????
Gah!!!, even then they knew mercury was toxic!
And I have always lived in fluorodated water areas.
I have little respect for the deceitful medical professions, who continue to teach doctors, dentists etc how to "treat" (expensively) rather then fix(cure).
