Sometimes it is worthwhile opening a history book before engaging the jawbone or in this case your typing fingers.

This a a perfect example of leap before you look.

Perhaps some reading on the subject refugees and refugee camps of the past might be in order.

If you have not had first hand experience then at least gain some factual second hand expierence

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

You are at liberty to doubt away to your hearts content 🙂

A desperate act by desperate people. Asylum seekers are not criminals, yet, they are treated as such. If they must be held in detention centres then they need to be treated with dignity and respect. Shame on this, and former governments, for their lack of humanity.

you are so right ... Asylum Seekers are not breaking our Law simply by seeking Asylum

and in any case

If we don't know and respect our own Country's Laws and values ....why do some expect new comers to do what we say and abide by our Laws ?

Seems like 1 of my posts has disappeared - again.

I would love to leave Australia, plan on retiring in Greece (dreaming probably), that is as long as golden dawn aren't in control.

Did your post re: clarification from ebay about hate speech get an answer? Seems that hate speech is fine here? Disappointing.

It can be seen that it has been seen ...but no no reply

Am I right in thinking that you are a new poster and weren't reading the boards over recent years (pre the last federal election)?

There is so much irony at times.

Here I note that others have noted that the assumption of being a criminal/being in jail is offensive ....

I think that's what many of us have been saying re Asylum seekers lol

Various Countries and their leaders .. through the years may have viewed people in some camps as criminals and/or the underclass..

that just isn't something I attribute to my Country in 2014.

Though ,sadly I do see that that kind of thinking does exist here and now
