No idea which one yet though. I have a quote and a plan from Ikea, the Bunnings guy is coming tomorrow to do a measure/plan/quote and a kitchen guy is coming Saturday.
Today I received a quote from a kitchen centre.
I can't decide what I want except I want wide drawers and no overheads, galley kitchen, white with white benchtops.
What I really want is for someone to show me a display that will fit my kitchen, so I can say "yes, I want this one"!!

Without appliances, (I am only replacing the hot plates and getting a 1 1/2 bowl sink with one drainer side) it is around $4000 plus installation of $850 but that doesn't include the missing bits.
Ikea was about $3500 without installation but with the missing bits!
I have a corner doovey atm but I hate it!
edited to say, my space is 2.4w window side just short of 4m, other side 3.6m

you do lose space with the round hoovydoovy. I use one for my frypans, it's pretty good, just spin it until the one you want comes around. I'd be happy enough without it in the other corner cupboard though.
About the only thing I would really like different in mine is a wall oven.

I am not fussy about the kitchen, I don't enjoy cooking but I am leaving it open to include another area maybe, later. I have a dining area and a family room area that I plan to swap around, making a bigger eat in kitchen with built in island/breakfast bar/seating and china cabinets along the far wall, it opens onto the patio..
The family room is kind of under used so will become the dining room.

the oven is in the same position but higher, the dishwasher is staying, they have been replaced not too long ago.
I have solid hotplates and hate them so looking for a ceramic or glass one?
I am having a microwave, we have not had one for about 20 years ๐
The fridge is only about 6 months old.

$850 sound terribly cheap for installing a kitchen.
Where I work we have put in about 15 standard kitchens....(9 cupboards......set of drawers.......pantry)........at an average cost of about $10 000...............$4000 to buy........$4000 to put in....including plumber and electrician........$1000 to refloor with vinyl........and $1000 for bits and pieces such as rangehoods tap mixers.

850 would be the cost of one days work for one bloke up this way

The average charge here was about $250 just to remove and dispose of the old kitchen.
