Meep, the nuns used to give them you when you were good, they usually had a picture of a saint and sometimes your teacher would write a nice note/message on the back.

Hey I had this teacher give me a Holy card once and I've still got it. The remark on the back was a dig at me it said:

"Under all the fake, overloaded, glittering masquerade, there is in every man a noble nature beneath"

I was not overloaded!!

I have all my Holy Cards still!

and now my 6yo GD has a collection.....she whips them out to show me when I visit.... and tells me the story of each one.   😐
