Do you mean, left alone in cars or just accidently locked in with keys inside?

My mother (who I admit I wondered about her sanity), was up the main street on Friday selling raffle tickets. It had already hit 35c by 11am and was expected to hit 40c that day and she couldn't believe how many quite elderly people were wandering around the street, some of them had walked up to do some shopping. We just couldn't believe it, and now I'm listening to the news and there are people who have passed out doing the harbour bridge climb! ๐ฎ Seriously how stupid can people be?
Unfortunately I keep hearing how stupid they can.

Don't leave children in cars, ambos warn
UP to 12 children are being found daily across Melbourne locked in cars with the windows closed, as the temperature inside exceeds 50 degrees Celsius.
Ambulance Victoria operations manager Paul Holman said since last Friday, when the temperature exceeded 40C in Melbourne, between seven and 12 children have been found locked in cars each day, with passersby alerting authorities.
Some of the children have been hospitalised, he said, and it was happening across Melbourne.

you'd think it i'd be common sense....there has been enough awareness created IMO but it seems more is required. How?
Include this information in the driver's knowledge test? Have compulsory stickers visibly displayed on every car??
