Graham really feeling for you, you are far from a grumpy old fart, you are in pain.  I was feeling sorry for myself after surgery the other week, sore back, pain and feeling rather under the weather but I realise how lucky I am that I am able to get out of bed in the morning and function reasonably well.  How are you going with the physio? Can surgery make a difference to your dilemma?

OH went through this about a year ago, ended up in an ambulance and in hospital, its painful.  Hoping that your physio is able to make a difference and wishing you the best of luck.

Hi BELLA have to go for assessment on Tuesday and the doc has organised an ambulance for me so will see what they decide

as far as going under the knife have done that 10 years back twice and because of that suffered four strokes and a possible fifth that they were not to shore about so they take a look at the records and run like hell the othe way and I am not going down that track either

In the last 12 years as well as that have had two new knees and a plate in the hip so have more steel in me than BHP and feel that the hospital is me 2nd home so with this last little lot I am feeling a little p^^d off with my lot that Murphy has now handed me

Yer begin to wonder where it is going to end but then yer don't really want to know do you?? You just want to wake up and keep breathing each day and make the best of it  Ok enough of my grumpin there is always somebody worse off than you are out there

You certainly have a burden to carry graham - there's not much I can say, as words of encouragement, that haven't already been said, how-ever I would like to say that most people have burdens to carry, some heavier than others, how they face up to their individual challenges defines their character very well and from what I've been reading here I would say that you are meeting all the requirements that determine a fine, upstanding, (no pun intended) person - courageous and honest in your manner and sombody I would like to call a friend. I'm sure your going to find a way to improve the circumstances your now facing.

SKYRIDER Well it has been said life wasn't ment to be easy however MURPHY doesn't just hand out the bad stuff there is the good things in life that we all seem to forget all to quickly and just remember the bad things all to easily so if we could just reverse that thunking just maybe the world would look to be a better place to us all for the amount of time we have here

Gees theres some deep thunkin for yer but I have found that being miserable with your lot does not help and just makes everybody else around you feel the same so it is better to look on the happier side of life and pass that on to others where possible:

WHAT shall I do with this absurdity -
O heart, O troubled heart - this caricature,
Decrepit age that has been tied to me
As to a dog's tail?

(W. B Yeats.)

It's a bugga, isn't it. But, given me druthers, I'd choose an ailing body over a mind that was going tatas.

I always tell people age is the price we pay for the gaining of wisdom (and if that's true it must make the two of us pretty wise.)
