I've used emoticons for years and years. You must have me confused with someone else. I don't say things like lol, and lmfao. Maybe that's what you mean?  Didn't you used to display some sort of picture of a fish? Or do I have you confused with someone else? lol

My last post made me think back to a time years ago when I was rebuked by a couple of posters for using swear words on here. They had a habit of using lmfao in their posts. So I always assumed that posters who used lmfao in their posts and then lectured another poster about swearing were either being a little hypocritical or they actually believed that everyone read lmfao as l m f a o.
